CUPPING - I’m a big believer in cupping and utilise European rubber cups! It’s a simple method, just pressing the air out as the cup attaches to the skin/fascia.

Very non-invasive, can leave some marks (this is dependant on how tight the muscles is, hydration level, blood flow or lack of) but they will subside in a few days. Marks will differ client to client - some people don’t mark at all, others will have bruising for a week.

Benefits -

Drains excess fluids and toxins

Loosens adhesions and revitalize connective tissue

Increases blood flow to skin and muscles (big )

Stimulates the peripheral nervous system

Reduces pain

Modulates the immune system

When you should add it -

Most effective with tension that is difficult to release, it will be mean more blood flow to muscles and faster recovery.

It also allows the therapist to get more done in the treatment, as stubborn muscle becomes more malleable, moving through the layers of fascia becomes easier and quicker. Deep knots and trigger points then become more accessible.

Super effective in the back, shoulders, traps, forearms, calves.

Suggested products -

Magnesium Spray - accelerates recovery, aids sleep quality, optimises results of massage.

ASSISTED STRETCHING - Involves PNF stretching to increase Range of Motion and flexibility. This is achieved by increasing the length of the muscle and increasing neuromuscular efficiency. These stretches will be applied during your massage once the targeted area is warm. Super effective with hips, hamstrings, groin, back, neck.

Why you should add it - partner stretching provides extra pressure and give in the muscle group. Angles are imperative for release and having another human aid the position you need to be in for optimal stretch is ideal. Combining this with your massage treatment will elevate your results and pain alleviation. Best to add it when you’re feeling exceptionally tight, have lost ROM or depth when exercising, restricted hips or aching after sleep.
